Putting on Your Own Sunscreen: Part 6
Figured my blog is basically my online diary. I mostly write for myself and so, sometimes, it’s a bit embarrassing and a bit life coach vibes haha BUT, if someone, even just one person feels a little less alone after reading it, that’s all that counts 🌻 Enjoy Part 6 on the tales of my travels.
Putting on Your Own Sunscreen: Part 5
And ya girl is almost off on another adventure… It’s nice to think that failures are just an opportunity to learn from your losses, laugh at yourself and re-align yourself in a new, more-you direction.
Putting on Your Own Sunscreen: Part 4
I think it’s important to be honest and in this next instalment of the tales of my travels, I write about how bloody amazing this year has been but also how bloody hard.
Putting on Your Own Sunscreen: Part 3
Read Part Three of the tales of my travels to learn about how I am learning to relax into the now, finding rest in this current part of the landscape of my life.
Putting on Your Own Sunscreen: Part 2
Welcome to Part Two of the tales of my travels. Sometimes you really do need a little help putting on your own sunscreen.
Putting on Your Own Sunscreen: Part 1
So begins the tales of my travels. One day, I might turn this into a book. This story is chapter one. A brief overview of the past four months, to bring you up to date.
Be Your Own Cheerleader
As I’m growing older and people are beginning to come and go, I’ve realised there are two things certain: 1) uncertainty and 2) The only person who is determined to stay in your life forever is you. Because of that, you’ve got to learn to love yourself and believe in yourself. That is your power.
Slow It Down
Slowing down means choosing the scenic route, not the fastest shortcut. They always say it’s about the journey not the destination. So stop and take some detours, enjoy the view, go and explore. Instead of planning and thinking all the time, choose to feel and be.
The Little Things
They say that everyone comes into your life for a reason. Whether they stay for a long time, or a short time, for a minute or a moment that lasts forever, they can leave teachings that will stay with you for longer than a life-time. They may teach you things about yourself...like when life hits hard, I only become softer and also... I really like washing dishes.
I Don't Know Why You Say Goodbye I Say Hello
Today begins a New Year. Today begins a new chapter in our lives. Let's make it a good one...
Don’t Forget to Just Simply Be
Over summer, I fled the big city life and headed home to sleepy, wide-open skied Christchurch. It sure had been a year of turbulence, ups and downs and all arounds. It was as I stepped off the plane and on to solid ground, I finally felt free from the heavy stressful weight that had become university and life itself. I had let it all go, 30,000 ft above the earth. Memories, tears and fears just fading into the clouds.
The Moral of The Story
Boy oh boy. Life is an utterly turbulent, exhilarating, breath-stealing, awe-inspiring ride. You will experience the Mt Everest of highs and the deepest ocean of lows. There are inevitable moments that are going to occur that will rip your heart to shreds. There are times, where you will just want to drop everything and run and run and run and leave it all behind. Never stopping to look behind you.
Two Decades In
I have made it to my twentieth year of life. Wow, I feel old. I also feel ever so incredibly young...(The fact that most of my friends have already turned 20 and are reaching their 21st year of life definitely comes in to play. I'm the little baby here haha).
Time to Soar High Butterfly
This is for those having to figure out some big life decisions (or some little ones). For those attempting to wander down a path of change. For those knowing what they want, but facing the scary part of making the choice to chase after this.
